What if the medicine to make you feel great… was within
reach… and cost you absolutely nothing? Would you take
it?

What if you could increase the production of anti-aging
hormones in your body, normalize your blood pressure, and
strengthen your immune system… at will? Would you do it?

Of course you would! Read the letter below to find out more
about how the one true elixir — raising your level of
happiness — can improve your health and wellness.

Actually, it’s urgent you read it. It’s fascinating,
filled with impressive information, and shows you a
practical path to sustained happiness (which studies show
leads to abundance and prosperity). I endorse it 100%. Keep
reading…

Imagine my amazement when I heard on the radio that people
who are happy earn $750,000+ more in their lifetime than
others. That’s an eye-opener especially given today’s
economy.

More than 255 studies show that money doesn’t buy
happiness. Studies say it is the other way around:
Happiness brings money .

Happy people are more fulfilled, relaxed, and peaceful,
even in this recession. They naturally have greater
opportunities, better health, deeper friendships, more
success, and so on. Their happiness is NOT because they get
all of the good stuff. Rather, they’re naturally happier
and, as a result, the good stuff comes.

…including high wages. Great relationships. Career
advancements. Customers. Great deals. Contentment at home.
Isn’t that the best way to live life? Not chasing money
or external things to make you happy, but simply being
happy from the inside out and enjoying the rewards.

You may have heard of Marci Shimoff’s phenomenal
bestseller “Happy for No Reason,” which has just now come
out in paperback for less than $15—it is so useful in
today’s world that it’s published in 28 languages. This
is a breakthrough book, a practical book — not a
Pollyanna-ish book — that shows you step by step how to
raise your baseline of happiness.

This means that no matter what happens at work or in your
relationships– no matter what stress plows into you – no
matter the financial news — no matter how dire the
circumstances — you will AUTOMATICALLY return to a higher
level of happiness than you have today. It’s clear: you
don’t have to get richer, thinner, or smarter to be
happier.

Reading this book will change your life for the better.

This book should be on every desk… in every office…
every school… every nightstand. It should be in the hands
of everyone you know. And for the price, you ought to
consider buying copies for your friends and family.

You see… author Marci Shimoff has broken the code on
happiness. All we’ve ever really wanted in life is to be
happy. And Marci’s book shows you how. She gives you a
clear, 7-step program that’s effective and fast. It works
from the inside, out.

I’m so convinced that you should read this book, I’m going
to give you additional resources to make sure you raise
your happiness set-point and not just read about it.

http://www.goalguru.com/recommends/HappyForNoReason

Have you ever set a Goal and in the following days, weeks,
months or even years, took little or no action towards it’s
achievement?

If so, you’re not alone.

The world moves so fast these days. Not to sound like an
old timer, but back in my day… we didn’t have cell
phones, computers, PDA’s, ipods or many of the hundreds of
devices we have become so dependent upon today.

If you were around back in the 70’s you were lucky if your
neighborhood had 5 television channels that came in from
your outside antenna. You actually had to get up off your
duff to change the channel or turn up the volume. Now we
have hundreds of cable and satellite channels and remote
controls that work every electronic device in the house!

There was no Google, there was no Ebay and phones were
attached to the wall by a chord.

Things move FAST these days. One of the greatest
advancements of the last 30 years is the ability to send
information all the way around the world via email in a
millisecond for free if you have an internet connection. I
can send an email from my phone in America to my friends in
Australia in the blink of an eye. I can download an ebook or
even watch a video that my friend 1,000 miles away made 5
minutes ago (thanks YouTube).

I wonder where in the world you are right now as you read
this.

What’s good about all of these advancements is that things
that used to take years to accomplish 20 or 30 years ago,
can now be achieved in a matter of months, weeks or even
days. You can achieve your Goals now faster than ever
before.

Yet still sometimes you set a Goal but never get it off the
ground.

I am here to remind you that there has never been a better
time in human history to go after your Goals and Dreams
than right now.

Want to learn a new skill? There are millions of tools and
resources at your fingertips within seconds. Just google
it.

Want to start a new business, learn a new language, write a
book? Thanks to the internet, you can connect with others
with similar Goals or others who have done it already
within minutes. You can publish a physical book within days
and an ebook within minutes.

You can even download my Goal Setting audio trainings to
your mp3 player and take me with you wherever you go!

My Goal Setting business was started with very little
investment. GoalGuru.com’s first web presence was a $ 10 do
it yourself web site. That’s a couple of lattes at the
coffee shop. You can’t even buy a pizza with $10 anymore
but you can launch a business. It was all I needed to start
my blog, a newsletter and begin to share my knowledge and
coaching experience on a global level… immediately. I had
clear Goals, a compelling mission and an enormous amount of
energy and determination. I would let nothing stop me. And
now you are reading this.

At the same time I launched GoalGuru.com, I had friends and
acquaintances who wanted to start a businesses too. It’s
been two years and they haven’t started anything yet.

Do you want to know the biggest difference between them and
me?

I would love to tell you that I am so much brighter or more
attractive or had better connections or that I had some
other advantage that they didn’t. But that is not the
case.

What I had (and still have) that they don’t is very
simple.

Momentum.

I set my Goals, took immediate massive action, started the
journey and have taken action every single day since then.

What I lacked in technical knowledge, I made up for with
massive action. Momentum.

What I lacked in financial backing, I made up for with
massive action. Momentum.

What I lacked in skill, I made up for with massive action.
Momentum.

Massive action = Momentum

Everything you ever do is much easier when you have
momentum.

I didn’t wait for everything to be perfect, for the economy
to be just right, for every circumstance to line up in my
favor- I just got started and took massive action.

I can assure you, whatever you want to do, whatever Goals
you aspire to achieve, whatever Dreams you yearn for, you
can have them. But not if you don’t ever begin and not if
you don’t commit to taking massive action right now today.

The ball is in your court. Always has been, always will
be.

You don’t have to get it right, you just have to get it
going.

Whatever you lack, make can up for with massive action.

What can you do today to advance your most cherished Goal?

Take the first step and revise your plan as you go.

Do it.

Do it NOW.

Got Momentum?

An inspiring video about gratitude, perseverance, faith and courage.

Nick Vujicic was born with no arms and no legs, but was an otherwise healthy baby.

Try to imagine for a moment the challenges of going through daily life without arms or legs.

Nick said, “School was really enjoyable for me and I really tried to live life like everyone else. But, it was in my early years of school where I encountered uncomfortable times of feeling rejected, weird and bullied because of my physical difference. It was very hard for me to get used to. In spite of this, with the support of my parents, I started to develop attitudes and values which helped me overcome these challenging times. Though I knew I was different, on the inside, I was just like everyone else. There were many times when I felt so low that I wouldn’t go to school in order to avoid all the negative attention. With encouragement from my parents, I began to ignore the bullies and tried to start making friends by just talking with some of the kids. Soon the students realized that I was just like them.

Many times I felt depressed and angry because I couldn’t change the way I was, or blame anyone for that matter. In Sunday school, I learned that God loves us all and that He cares for us deeply. At that stage in my childhood, I could understand His love to a point. But, as you can imagine, I still got hung up on that fact that if he really loved me, why did He make me like this? I wondered if I’d done something wrong and began to feel certain that this must be true. Otherwise, I thought, God wouldn’t have made me the only weird one out of all the kids at school. Feeling I was a burden to those around me, I sensed the sooner Ipd just go away altogether, the better it would be for everyone. So, at a young age, I wanted to end my pain and my life. But I am thankful, once again, for my parents and my family who were always there to comfort me and lend me their strength. Thankfully, a real turning point arrived!

Due to the emotional struggles I had experienced with bullying, self-esteem and loneliness, God began to instill a passion of sharing my story and experiences to help others cope with whatever challenge they might have in their lives. Turning my struggles into something that would glorify God and bless others, I realized my purpose! The Lord was going to use me to encourage and inspire others to live to their fullest potential and not let anything get in the way of accomplishing their hopes and dreams.

As I grew older, God continued to prepare my heart and teach me to seek Him. One of the first lessons that I have learned was not to take things for granted. With a wake-up call around the age of twelve, I realized just how much God had blessed me. My foot, what I’ve termed my little chicken bone. I had been taking for granted. But it serves me well. God had freely given to me and so much with my loving family, and so many other blessings, I realized Why should I still complain?

Now twenty-five years old, I’ve completed a Bachelor’s Degree in both Financial Planning and Accounting. Also, I’m active as a motivational speaker. Again, my number one passion is for souls. I just love to go out and share my story and testimony wherever opportunities become available. Over time, I’ve developed messages that relate to and encourage students through topics that challenge today’s teenagers.

Achieving goals and pursuing dreams is something I’m actively pursuing on a regular basis.

Some of these include becoming the best witness I can be of God’s love and hope, to become an international inspirational speaker and to be used as a vessel in both Christian and non-Christian venues. These goals are, even now, being realized. Other aspirations of mine yet to be realized is my desire to modify a car that I can drive, to be interviewed on the “Oprah Winfrey Show” and share my story, and to write several books. With anticipation, I look forward to starting on the first of these this year. Not surprisingly, the title will be, “No Arms, No Legs, No Worries!”

Many would think these goals were too far-fetched. However, I believe that if you have the desire and passion to do something, and it’s within God’s will, you will achieve it in good time. As humans, we continually put limits on ourselves for no reason at all!”

When you fall down, just get back up.

By Jill Koenig Author, Coach, Motivational Speaker

With Today’s fast paced lifestyle, it is crucial to embrace and implement simple strategies for achievement and fulfillment. Your job in this life is to follow your bliss, design your destiny and consciously direct the steering wheel of your life.

This is the time of year that we look back at where we’ve been and look ahead at where we want to be. We set some New Years Resolutions, well intentioned, with the hopes of creating positive changes in our lives. Unfortunately, research shows that as many as 95% of people abandon their resolutions by the end of January, disgusted and discouraged! It doesn’t have to be that way.

“If you don’t design your own life plan, chances are you’ll fall into someone else’s plan. And guess what they might have planned for you? Not much.”

-Jim Rohn

If you don’t implement a system for setting and achieving Goals, the winds that blow in life will sweep you off course and into a life of reaction. Having a plan you can integrate for each goal you set will ensure you are in a proactive state instead of a reactive state.

Being proactive enables you to sleep peacefully at night and awaken each day knowing that you are actively heading in the direction you want to go, developing your greatness and living your dreams. Having a system for manifesting your goals over and over builds confidence and demolishes fear.

Plug your highest priority New Years Resolutions into this Template and put them to the Test. If you don’t have all of these elements, it is not likely you will achieve them successfully. A Resolution is not a mere hope or a wish… it’s a Goal that you are committed to with plans for attainment that inspire and motivate you to take consistent, persistent, decisive action.

Ten T’s that Guarantee Total New Years Resolution Success:

1. THIRST: You must have a burning desire for something, originating beyond mere hopes and ideas. You must have compelling dreams, a thirst, a hunger and desires that are so inspiring and motivating, they provide you with enough internal drive to fuel you and keep you going when things don’t go as planned. The stronger your WHY, the more successful you will be. You must feel a magnetic pull Towards something that is meaningful and significant to you.

2. TARGETS: You must define the Targets, the outcomes, the goals, the destinations clearly and in as much detail as you can. Use your imagination to visualize and experience the deep emotions of what it will feel like when your goal is achieved.

3. TASKS: Working from your Targets and outcomes, work backwards and map out the Tasks, activities and the Things you must do to advance towards your goal. A big goal is actually made up of several smaller goals or Tasks. Do the small Tasks and the big Goal WILL be realized.

4. TIME: It takes Time, a Timetable and effort to bring your dreams to life. It requires consistent, persistent effort. Treat Time as a precious resource and invest it wisely. Create a Timetable and schedule your Tasks in your calendar, creating an action plan, broken down into small, manageable steps with a sequential order so that you know what will be done and when you will do it. As you create your Timetable, your goal becomes Tangible. Every Goal has it’s own gestation period.

(for more on Time Management, review The Time Commandments!)

“A ship in port is safe,
but that’s not what ships are built for.”

-Grace Murray Hopper

Today I would like to talk about a topic I think every one
of us can relate to.Â

Fear.

The dictionary defines fear as: noun 1. an anxiety caused
by real or possible danger 2. pain, apprehension, concern

At one time or another we have all experienced the emotion
of fear.

There are so many variations of fear. Fear of the unknown,
fear of events outside of our control, fear of failure,
fear of success, fear of intimacy, fear of people who are
different from us, fear of ______(fill in the blank)_______.

I have found that at it’s very core, fear is simply a signal
or a call to action. The ultimate purpose of fear is to
serve you.

There are two kinds of fear, what I call Stage 1 Fear and
Stage 2 Fear.

Stage 1 Fear is very real. It’s the fear that calls for
immediate action, for example, when your life or safety is
in immediate danger. This is an all-consuming fear that
intuitively grips your gut, without thinking. For example
when you’re walking down a dark street and you sense
danger. I mean it’s very serious and should not be ignored.
This fear most definitely serves you.

Stage 2 Fear, on the other hand is a little more
mysterious. It surfaces whenever you move outside of your
comfort zone or try something you’ve never done before.
For some it is a fear of flying, fear of heights, fear of
roller coasters, fear of being married, fear of being
divorced, fear of starting a business, fear of starting a
new career, fear of learning a new skill, etc.

Becoming aware of the two different kinds of fear allows
you to take a step back anytime you feel afraid so that you
can evaluate how it can serve you. You can ask yourself, is
this stage 1 fear where I need to take immediate action,
disengage or change course -or- is this stage 2 fear, where
I am simply being faced with the opportunity of moving
beyond my comfort zone.

Stage 1 is usually a warning that requires immediate
attention, while Stage 2 Fear can actually be an invitation
towards something that is ultimately good for you.

Yes, it’s true, you can actually feel afraid of something
that is GOOD for you.Â

You can be afraid of falling in love, speaking in front of
an audience, meeting new people, trying something you have
never tried before, starting a business, and so on.

Here is an example.

When I was 13 years old, in the 7th grade, myself and my
entire peer group spent our summer days at the park
district swimming pool. There were actually 2 pools. A
shallow pool for the little ones and a pool that had a
graduated depth from 3 feet to 15 feet where the diving
boards where.

Swimming pools are fantastic. And being a kid, sun and fun
all summer long, what more could you ask for, right?

One tiny little problem… at 13 years old, I did not know
how to swim.

As all of my friends were swimming away into the deep end,
I was left clinging to the side of the pool in the shallow
end, terrified to let go.Â

Now let me be clear. As my friends swam away, I was
without a doubt feeling Stage 1 Fear. I had every reason to
be afraid. It would not have been wise to follow them into
the deep end at that time.

Being in any body of water, not knowing how to swim is
dangerous and potentially life threatening. Anything that
can end in serious injury or death should not be taken
lightly. But there are risks involved in anything worth
doing in life. I could have abstained from the activity
all together forever, but spending the rest of my life in
the kiddie pool was not appealing to me. Forget about the
peer pressure, or the other kids making fun of me, I can
handle that. But I could not handle missing out on all of
the fun they were having. I did not want to go on one more
day, not to mention the rest of my life not knowing how to
swim.Â

I was staring in the face of the “Terror Barrier”

More on that later.

But at that moment, I made a decision. I set a Goal and
decided I would learn how to swim.

Here is what I did:

Step 1. I asked my friends to swim past me in the shallow
end, while I held my nose and went underwater to see what
their arms and legs were doing as they swam by. I observed
that the arms were doing one thing and the legs were doing
another thing and I thought hmmm, maybe I could do this.

Step 2. I went to the lifeguards and asked them to watch me
while I held onto the wall, where I proceeded to kick my
legs like my friends had done. Interestingly, when I did
this I became somewhat buoyant.Â

Step 3. I let go of the wall and swam a few feet out.
Then I swam back to the wall. Imagine my surprise, I was
actually doing it, I was SWIMMING!

I don’t know if you know how to swim or how you learned,
but sometimes the longer you wait, the harder it becomes.
Seriously, that imaginary barrier can play tricks with your
mind if you don’t keep it in check. I went from feeling
terrified, wishing I could swim, to deciding I would learn,
then taking immediate action to make it reality, all within
a few hours.

And by the end of the day, I was swimming in the deep end
and about a month later, I was jumping off the diving
boards in the deepest part of the pool. In fact, it was not
pretty or efficient, but I was swimming good enough to get
where I wanted to go.

The purpose of fear is to serve you.

The “Terror Barrier” is an imaginary line.

On one side is you and where you are now.

On the other side is your dream, your Goal.

Most people turn back when they reach the Terror Barrier.
They say, “no, I am too afraid, I am frozen, I’m turning
back and staying in my comfort zone where I feel safe.” And
they never step over the line to find out what they are
truly capable of. They can’t see beyond the current
fright, when what is on the other side is so good.

But…

You cannot live your entire life holding on to the edge of
the pool.

Some of you are in an illusion that you are in Stage 1
Fear, you are terrified, but you actually in Stage 2 Fear,
with the perception of Stage 1. You’re at the Terror
Barrier.

It’s just a matter of going beyond where you are now.

Put your safeguards in place whenever you can, find
yourself a mentor or coach and create a plan of action for
your Goal and start going after what you want. Whenever
possible, model those who went before you.

Now that I understand it, I have run ins with the
Terror Barrier on a daily basis. There are constantly new
things I want to learn or do that are waaaay outside of my
comfort zone. I acknowledge the fear, evaluate the
situation and break through it.Â

Just like when I learned how to swim, it’s not always
pretty, but it’s good enough to get me where I want to go.

Most of the fear and worry people give their energy to is a
figment of their imagination. 99% of the worries and
anxiety of the world never happen.Â

Stop wasting energy being paralyzed by fear.

“A ship in port is safe, but that’s not what ships are built
for.”  -Grace Murray Hopper

Allow your fear to serve you.

Think of what dreams of yours have led you to the brink of
the Terror Barrier where you turned away? Was this truly a
Stage 1 fear or was it Stage 2 (an illusion) ?

Write it down and email it to me if you’re ready to
break through it and make the dream a reality.

How to Create your own Financial Bailout

Unless you’ve been living under a rock, you’re more than
aware that America (and several other countries) are in the
midst of a recession.

I am being inundated with requests from the media asking
questions about how people can stay up during these
challenging, uncertain times.

I will share with you a few of the strategies that work for
me and those who triumph over circumstance at will.

1. Control the inputs of what you’re allowing into your
brain. For example, when you first wake up in the morning,
are you turning on the tv or radio news, which is 90%
negative? You may as well as punch yourself in the stomach
because that is how you will feel the rest of the day. Instead,
begin your day by inputting something positive, encouraging,
motivational or educational. I have done this for the past
15+ years and it gives me the boost I need for whatever
comes my way. The world’s outer economic climate may not be
within your direct control, but your own attitude, outlook,
emotional and mental climate ARE.

2. Set some new Goals or recommit to old ones. This gives
you something positive of your own choosing to focus on
throughout the day. Then really go after them. Do something
every single day. Notice I didn’t say to wait until the
economy improves to go after them, I mean right now, today.

The millionaires of next month, next year and beyond are laying
their foundation today, now. If you wait until the economy
rebounds, you’re only delaying your own success and growth.
Besides giving yourself the daily spark of going after your
dreams, you will put yourself in the best possible position
for the future as well. Opportunities exist today that are
ripe for the picking because much of the population is frozen
in fear. Don’t be one of them. Give yourself every advantage
by taking decisive action every day to advance your Goals.
Winners planting seeds now will reap the greatest rewards
today, tomorrow and beyond.

3. If you are one of the many who are paralyzed by fear,
hire a coach to hold your hand and guide you through it. Even
today in this economic climate, dreams are being born,
businesses are being started, growth is happening and A LOT of
money is being made. You were given 24 hours today. How much
of your time did you invest in making your life better?
Take charge. Empower yourself and go after what you want.
Don’t wait for a handout or a bailout, create your own destiny.

Napoleon Hill taught me “You become what you think about.”
For some of you, now is your test. How bad do you want it?
Think about your Goals, Dreams and Ambitions. Focus on
what you want, it’s a lot more empowering than being helpless
and worrying about what might or might not happen. Create what
you want in your life. Don’t shrink in the face of challenge,
rise up to meet it and conquer it.

Now is the time to invest in yourself. Now is the time to
decide what really matters in life and as Rock Balboa says,
“Go for it!”

4. Invest in yourself. If you have ever dreamed of starting
a business in the area of your passion, or if you already own
a business and want a solid road map for exponentially growing
it in any climate, I have a great training for you.

GoalGuru.com is co-sponsoring a very special teleseminar
with a Mystery Millionaire who went from slaving his life
away at a NY Madison Ave Advertising agency to following his
dreams, now earning Millions of dollars per year. Just a
few years ago, his wife was unhappy with his long hours at the
office among other things. Having no safety net, he left his
high paying job, moved across the country and set out to live
life on his own terms, taking control of his own destiny. He
started a home business, and now working mostly from his telephone,
has turned his expertise and passion into a $ Multi Million
dollar a year income. He sets his own hours, has tons of time
with his family and in my humble opinion, lives a very admirable
life. He is positively impacting the world in powerful ways.

================

Take Charge of the Thoughts You Think
By Darin Steen

The attributes of optimum wellness can be broken down into
three simple areas which I call The Three Pillars of Health.

The Three Pillars of Health are:

The Exercise That You Get
The Foods That You Eat
The Thoughts That You Think

Today we are going to work on “The Thoughts That You Think”.
I believe it is the most important area to focus on.

When you start thinking more positively about yourself and
your future, the rest of the pieces fall into place.

Here are forty suggestions you can draw from to propel your
thoughts in the affirmative starting today.

1. Take a 10-30 minute walk every day. And while you walk,
smile. It is the ultimate antidepressant.

2. Sit in silence for at least 10 minutes each day. Buy a lock
if you have too. As thoughts come into your mind get rid of
them (minimize them like on a computer screen) and focus on
the sounds of your breathing.

3. Buy a Tivo (DVR), tape your late night shows and get more
sleep. Early to bed, early to rise makes a man healthy,
wealthy and wise.

4. When you wake up in the morning stand up tall, take a long
deep breath in and hold for 10 seconds, then slowly exhale;
smile and say, “I am so grateful for all that I have. Everyday
is another opportunity”!

5. Do not gossip or hold on to any negative thoughts or words.
If you think or say something negative, catch yourself, and
say, “oops what I meant to say was,” and put a positive spin
on it. Twenty one days of this exercise will train you to be
more positive. Try it, I dare you. Make a game out of it and
have fun.

6. Watch more movies, play more games and read more books than
you did last year.

7. Always pray and schedule exercise (two cardio and two
resistance sessions per week)

8. Spend more time with people over the age of 70 and under
the age of six.

9. Dream more while you are awake.

10. Eat more foods that grow on trees and plants and eat fewer
foods that are manufactured in plants.

11. Drink green tea and plenty of water. Eat blueberries, wild
Alaskan salmon, broccoli, almonds & walnuts.

12. Try to make at least three people smile each day.

13. Clear your clutter from your house, your car, your desk,
your computer files, and your closet. Doing so will let new energy, thoughts, and
things flow into your life.

14. Don’t waste your precious energy on gossip, energy vampires,
issues of the past, negative thoughts or things you cannot
control. Do not watch or listen to the news. Instead, invest
energy in the positive, precious now.

15. Realize that life is a school and you are here to learn.
Problems are simply part of the curriculum that appear and fade
away like algebra class …….but the lessons you learn will
last a lifetime. I believe that everything happens for a reason.

16. Eat breakfast like a king, lunch like a prince and dinner
like a college kid with a maxed out charge card. Eat protein
and carbs together in each meal. Eat small meals often throughout
the day. Eat at least five small meals.

17. Smile and laugh more. It will keep the energy vampires away.

18. Life isn’t always fair, but it’s still good.

21. Life is too short to waste time hating anyone.

19. Don’t take yourself so seriously. No one else does.

20. You don’t have to win every argument. Agree to disagree.

21. Make peace with your past so it won’t screw up the present.

22. Don’t compare your life to others’. You have no idea what
their life is like. Everyone is right in their own mind.

23. Ladies- Go on and burn those ’special’ scented candles,
use the 600 thread count sheets, the good china and wear your
fancy lingerie now. Stop waiting for a special occasion.
Everyday is special. We are not guaranteed that we will have
a tomorrow.

24. Yesterday is history, tomorrow is a mystery, all we have
is today, that is why we call it “the present”.

25. No one is in charge of your happiness except you. The only
thing in life that we are in control of is our attitude. Every
day you have a choice. What are you going to choose?

26. Frame every so-called disaster with these words:
‘In five years, will this really matter?’

27. Forgive everyone for everything.

28. What other people think of you is none of your business.
What you think of yourself means everything. Your confidence,
self image, and your health are directly proportionate to your
ability to achieve.

29. Time heals almost everything. Give time, time!

30. Your job won’t take care of you when you are sick. Your
friends will. Stay in touch with them.

31. Get rid of anything that isn’t useful, beautiful or joyful.

32. Envy is a waste of time. You already have all you need.
God provides everything that wildlife needs. He will do the
same for you.

33. We can not do it all by ourselves. Focus on helping others
in a genuine way. Learn to live to give and the universe will
open up its flood gates back to you.

34. No matter how you feel, get up, dress up and show up.

35. Do the right thing!

36. Call your family often.

37. Each night before you go to bed complete the following
statement:
I am thankful for __________.
Today I accomplished _________.

38. Remember that you are too blessed to be stressed.

39. Enjoy the ride. Remember that this is not Disney World;
you certainly don’t want a fast pass. You only have one ride
through life so make the most of it and enjoy the ride.

40. LIVE, LOVE, LAUGH. LIFE’S A GIFT… UNWRAP IT! If your
thoughts and words do not get you closer to your dreams, then
flush them.

By Jill Koenig

If I gave you $1,440 today, how would you spend it?

I suspect you would carefully ponder the best use of it.

I bet you might even apply a portion of it towards
achieving some of your Goals.

And what if I gave you $1,440 tomorrow?

And another $1,440 the next day… and the next day?

How would you invest your $1,440 each day?

Still with me Friend ?

Now what if I gave you $86,400 today?

Would you value those dollars?

Would you apply a portion of them towards your Goals?

And what if I gave you $86,400 tomorrow and the next day
and the next day?

I bet you would pay even closer attention to how you would
invest it, right?

You would make it work for you.

I sure would.

I’m not going to give you $1,440 or $86,400.

You already have the equivalent of it but you may not
realize it.

Those numbers should have tremendous meaning in the scope
of life for both you and I.

You already have 1,440 and 86,400 in your bank account.

We begin each day with 1,440 MINUTES deposited into our
TIME bank account.

We begin each day with 86,400 SECONDS deposited into our
TIME bank account.

And how we VALUE those minutes and seconds is what
determines what they may bring us.

How we spend them and how we INVEST them determines the
quality of our life today and tomorrow.

And when you string the seconds and minutes together to
accumulate in the form hours, days, weeks, months and
years, you determine your destiny.

Much like money can compound with interest, so does our
time. Invest one hour per day into reading and it might
not seem like much but invest an hour per day into reading
in an area that can improve the quality of your life for a
month or six months or one year and you have the power to
shape your destiny.

We all began today with the same amount of time.

If you consciously value your TIME bank account, you can
transform any area of your life and achieve your Goals.

You are already wealthy.

What makes a person’s life for better or worse is the way
they invest their wealth of minutes.Â

What are you doing with your seconds?

How are you investing your minutes?

Everything affects everything…

How you think.

Who you spend them with.

What you do with them.

You may or may not have the dollars at your disposal but
you do have the seconds and you do have the minutes.

“A man who dares waste one hour of time has not discovered
the value of life.” -Charles Darwin

Allot some of your minutes towards reaching your Goals.

Allot some of your minutes towards pursuing your DREAMS…
every day.

The one thing you and I have in common is that today we
started our day on equal ground with the same amount of
minutes. Bill Gates, Oprah Winfrey, Michael Phelps, Tiger
Woods, (insert the name of someone who inspires you). We
all have the same minutes today.

What separates us is how we value our minutes and how we
spend and invest them.

What we do with that them will determine whether or not we
reach our Goals.

Don’t be fooled by the calendar. There are only as many days
in the year as you make use of. One man gets only a week’s
value out of a year while another man gets a full year’s
value out of a week. -Charles Richards

Quality of life and time management are as much about clarity,
prioritizing as it is about appreciation of the minutes we
have been given.

What we do with those 1,440 minutes today and everyday will
determine our results in life.

That’s 525,600 minutes per year.

Invest them wisely.

By Jill Koenig
Although I had a busy travel schedule this past week, just
like millions of people around the world, I was glued to the
television every time Michael Phelps took to the water in
the Olympics. Because success leaves clues, I study the
best of the best in every sport, business or craft I
possibly can, and you should too.

Sometimes in life what separates first place from second
place is one point, a fraction of an inch or even a tiny
millisecond that requires the most sophisticated technology
to measure. Those small gaps define who wears the Gold Medal
around their neck, who breaks a world record, who earns
millions of dollars in endorsements and who graces the top
magazine covers.

You may feel you have nothing in common with Michael Phelps
but the fact is that there is a Champion inside you.

There is a Champion inside you.

Perhaps your area of passion is being a parent or an
entrepreneur or a weekend athlete or a singer or writer…
whatever your Goal, you don’t have to be a swimmer to unleash
it. All you have to do is apply a few simple strategies to
your own pursuits and practice them consistently everyday.

Here are Five Things You Can Do Today to Be a Champion Like
Michael Phelps

1. Improve on the Small Things that Make a Big Difference

Phelps was asked how he can break world records, sometimes
by a whopping one or two seconds (in swimming this is
huge). His answer was simple and something you can apply
to your own life starting today: Phelps said, “In swimming
there are so many little things you can change that really
do make a big difference in the end. We’re able to go back
to the drawing board and work on the small things that can
make a big difference.”

What areas of your life can you change some small things
that will make a big difference? Perhaps it is something
as simple as going to bed a little earlier, eating
healthier, exercising smarter, reading more, advancing
your education by taking a class, scheduling regular dates
with your spouse and children or getting a Coach to help
you improve your efficiency, proficiency and stay on track
with your Goals. Whatever it is, identify those areas and
make the change.

2. Study Other Champions

Phelps was asked what separates those who are gifted from
those who performed in clutch moments and won. Phelps
said, “For me when I watch other sports, when I watch
Tiger Woods, when I watch Roger Federer, when I watch
Rafael Nadal, the best athletes can compete under any
circumstances. No matter what it is, no matter what the
pressure, you can always overcome whatever is put in your
way.”

I have studied top athletes long enough to know that there
is an inner game and an outer game that must be harnessed
for one to achieve absolute Mastery of a thing. There are
many long hours of practice as well as having the attitude
that you will overcome anything that comes your way. Work
on both your inner game and your outer game simultaneously.
Phelps studies Champions in other sports and you should
too. There are always lessons to be learned and applied to
your life.

3. Put Blinders on to Focus Your Energy When it’s Time to
Perform

Did you notice that prior to entering the water for each
race, Michael Phelps was wearing headphones and covered his
head with a hoodie? This was to block out the outer noise
and distractions and stay focused on his own predetermined
priorities. He was in his own world, he was in the zone.

We all have those moments when we must perform at our very
best. This could be during a sales call, a workout, a
meeting with your boss, a presentation in front of a live
audience, etc. During those times it is important to get
yourself into a peak state of focused concentration. You
can do this to begin your day, prepare for a race, get
psyched for a workout or any occasion anytime you want.
Phelps listened to Young Jeezy during the World
Championships which he dominated. Choose the music that
gets you revved up and visualize yourself succeeding in the
activity. Practice positive self talk. You’re the best at
what you do. See it. Go there. Be it.

4. Do what you love

Phelps was asked how it feels to be the worlds fastest
swimmer. He said, “I don’t think about it like that. I
think of it as something I love to do and I am having fun
with it.”

Champions do what they love and love what they do. The
amount of time it takes to achieve the level where you’re
competing against the best of the best and come out on top
means you must be extraordinary. To be extraordinary,
sometimes you have to give up some of the things normal
people do like hanging out with friends, eating fatty fast
foods, staying up late and vegging out for hours in front
of the tv. Instead you use those hours to practice and
with the hours in between, you treat your mind/body like
the fine tuned, high performing machine that it is.

Phelps recognized he had the opportunity of a lifetime.
When asked what scarifies he had to make for swimming, he
said, “Doing normal high school kid things was something I
was willing to give up. I know I won’t have opportunities
like this in the sport for the rest of my life.”

What areas of your life could you rearrange or re prioritize
in order to raise another certain area of your life to new
levels? What could you let go of to make room for the
Goals and Dreams you truly desire?

5. Finish Strong

The race that absolutely left me speechless was the
“Miracle Finish” in the race between Phelps and Serbia’s
Milorad Cavic. In the final seconds, it appeared Phelps
would come in second. In the last few feet at the finish,
Cavic coasted to the end while Phelps fought for it with
everything he had. Even when Cavic had the lead, Phelps
never gave up. He fought to the finish.

I wondered how many times in life we go 90% of the way
there only to fizzle out or coast at the end. Regardless
of whether you think you have it won or not, give it your
all right up to the very end. That’s what Champions do.

I learned in working with my Trainers Darin and Cordell, that
your greatest growth comes when your muscles burn and fatigue
and every sensation is telling you to quit. At first it seems
like that’s all you have left. But those one or two extra reps
AFTER that point are the key.

That extra effort is where the real growth and magic happens.

These few lessons are just some of what I extracted from
watching Michael Phelps become the greatest Olympian of all
time. They are things that you and I can easily do every
single day if we simply apply them to our lives.

Unleash your inner Champion.

Millions of people started the day today “hoping” for
motivation to get them through the week. They woke up
waiting for some external force to inspire and light a fire
under them so they could make it through the day. Not an
exciting way to begin the week, do you agree?

Does it make sense to await motivation from an outside
source and “hope” it arrives or does it make more sense to
learn a few key strategies for motivating yourself week
after week consistently? After all, we are given 52
Mondays each year. What if you could turn them into the
springboard for creating a great week guaranteed every
time?

Creating a great week is not something that happens by
accident, in fact, you have the power to create momentum
anytime you desire. This lesson focuses on empowering ways
to approach Mondays so you can create unstoppable momentum
and create the best week of your life every week.

10 Steps to Creating Monday Momentum:

1. Decide in advance that you are going to have a great
week. Your attitude determines your altitude and it starts
right here with the decision. Expect success, expect the
best, and be prepared to invest the very best of yourself
in everything you do.Â

2. Define Success more clearly. Envision exactly what it
means to have a great week. Does success mean
productivity? Fun? Speed? Quality? Progress?
Completion? What elements do you need to
create in order to realize your vision this week?

3. Map out your week on Sunday evening. At first this may
seem challenging but after a few tries, you will be in awe
of how easy it is to set yourself up for success. Here are
some questions to get you started: What are your priorities
for the week? What are the essentials you absolutely must
accomplish and in what order of importance? What do you
need to do this week to meet your Goals for the month, for
the year?

4. Schedule your actions and priorities into your calendar
so that you know when you will do them.

5. Create measures of accountability. Are you motivated by
pain or pleasure? Does it light a fire under your posterior
to know there is a fun reward at the finish line for doing
what you promised or are you more motivated by the pain of
having to pay for NOT doing it? Determine your own
personal rewards you will enjoy for following through on
your commitments and what penalties can you impose on
yourself if you don’t? Bring in a friend or peers for extra
reinforcement. Having someone to hold you accountable will
keep you honest and give you an extra edge. There is
nothing like succeeding or failing in front of an audience.
You can raise the bar on this as high as you need to.

6. Go to bed early Sunday evening. Stretch or meditate
prior to bedtime. You will feel more rested when you wake
up and you will have energy, vigor and enthusiasm to begin
your day. There’s nothing as energizing and momentum
building as arising with clarity, getting a jump on the day
and being ahead of schedule, rather than feeling like you’re
behind schedule or playing catch up.

7. On Monday morning rise a little earlier, get in a quick
workout, even if it’s just a 15 minute walk or ride on the
exercise bike. Wake up your brain and get those endorphins
flowing. You will burn more fat, feel GREAT and get it out
of the way so you’re free to move on to other things.

8. Eat a healthy breakfast. This will provide you with
the fuel to tackle your top priorities. (planning your week
in advance means planning your meals in advance if you want
to be super productive, energized and stay away from fast
foods, which are a huge energy drain)Â What you put into
your mouth has a direct effect on your productivity,
efficiency and mental clarity.

9. Listen to one hour of an empowering audio program while
you’re working out and eating breakfast. This will help you
with the mental motivation and get you going with the right
attitude. I recommend http://www.TheTimeCommandments.com

10. At the end of each day and the end of each week, review
what you did or didn’t do. Make adjustments where necessary
and keep building on your strengths and celebrating your
successes. Have fun and remember that small improvements
add up over time. Imagine how much more clarity,
motivation and achievement you will experience after
growing and improving consistently for 52 weeks!

Momentum breeds momentum.

Unleashing these powerful strategies will condition you to
seize the day every day. You will condition yourself to
know where you are going, get moving and you will have all
the motivation and Momentum you need to carry you through
the week.
